The Meyersdale Red Raiders will face off against the Northern Garrett Huskies at 1:30 p.m. on Monday. Meyersdale is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.

Meyersdale blew Windber out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday Windber got their revenge. The Red Raiders fell just short of the Ramblers by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Red Raiders have suffered since April 22, 2024.

Amber Long was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Northern Garrett played in-conference for the first time on Friday and got just the result they were looking for. Everything went their way against Southern as they made off with a 10-2 win. The Huskies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by eight runs or more this season.

Rain Ritchey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Northern Garrett let Demi Ross and Ada White run wild. Ross went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases and three runs, while White went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Madysen Gilpin was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Northern Garrett is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Meyersdale, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.

Meyersdale took their win against Northern Garrett in their previous meeting back in April of 2022 by a conclusive 15-0 score. Will the Red Raiders repeat their success, or do the Huskies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
