Volleyball Recap: North Summit Comes Up Short

North Summit was the 2-0 winner over Green River when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Braves fell just short of the Wolves by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The Braves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their offense was headlined by Ellie Stephens and Quinci Vernon, who picked up 14 kills apiece. They got some help from Kate Smith and her 31 assists. Vernon also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Olivia Richins, racking up two apiece.

North Summit's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Green River, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

North Summit has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Star Valley on the 5th. As for Green River, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against South Summit on the 5th.
