Basketball Recap: George Jenkins Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home

George Jenkins posted their biggest victory since November 20th on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 47-27 margin over the Fort Meade Miners. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Several Miners players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mekhi Berrien, who posted 16 points and six boards. Omari Russell was another key player, putting up three points and seven rebounds.

George Jenkins' win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-6. As for Fort Meade, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

George Jenkins and Rickards will round out the year against one another at at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fort Meade, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on McKeel Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
