Soccer Game Preview: Marion County vs. Sale Creek

Marion County is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Sale Creek a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Monday. The Marion County Warriors will host the Sale Creek Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Marion County has given up an average of 8.2 goals per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Marion County's offense. They lost 9-0 to Chattanooga Prep on April 1st.

Meanwhile, Sale Creek kept a clean sheet against Varsity Opponent on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Varsity Opponent. The result was nothing new for Sale Creek, who have now won three games by three goals or more so far this season.

Joel Garcia and Jack McEwan scored all three of Sale Creek's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Marion County's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Sale Creek, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-4-1.

Everything went Marion County's way against Sale Creek in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Marion County made off with a 5-2 victory. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
