Softball Recap: Eldorado Comes Up Short

After flying high against Capital last Saturday, Eldorado came back down to earth. The Eagles lost 18-8 to the La Cueva Bears on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-4 back in March.

Mya Gallegos was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Kalei Ashburn also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Eldorado now has a losing record of 9-10. As for La Cueva, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-7.

While Eldorado had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
