Soccer Recap: Bridgeport Plays to a Tie

For the first time this season, Bridgeport was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor the Clear Creek Wildcats could gain the upper hand on Saturday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Bridgeport's goal came courtesy of Pyper Newlin, who's now up to four this season.

With that draw, Bridgeport's record moves to 5-2-1. Meanwhile, Clear Creek's record is now 6-3-2.

Bridgeport won't get a chance for a more definitive result for a while: they'll take on Lake Dallas at 7:15 p.m. on January 28th. As for Clear Creek, they will welcome Dickinson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dickinson's last four matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
