After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Northeast, Pinellas Park was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 9-4 victory over the St. Petersburg Green Devils. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 19-7 back in February.

Madison Wagner made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ayanah Wilson, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Khloe Birk was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

Pinellas Park's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for St. Petersburg, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-9.

Looking ahead, Pinellas Park will be playing at home against Countryside at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Countryside will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last. As for St. Petersburg, they are taking a road trip to take on Seminole at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
