Basketball Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

Jefferson was the 75-62 winner over T.L. Hanna when they last played one another back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Dragons came up short against the Yellow Jackets on Tuesday, falling 70-49. The Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

T.L. Hanna found their leader in sophomore Brice Wiersma, who shot 60% from the field on his way to 22 points and seven boards. Wiersma's afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 22 points. Lucas Wiersma was another key player, dropping a double-double with 12 points and ten rebounds.

Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for T.L. Hanna, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Jefferson will square off against Banks County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for T.L. Hanna, they will challenge Wade Hampton at 7:30 p.m. on December 3.
