Softball Recap: Filer Wildcats vs. Kimberly Bulldogs

Filer had lost four straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 7-14-1 to make it five. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kimberly Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, with their most recent defeat being a 6-0 loss on Monday.

Filer saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyra Eskelsen, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

As for Kimberly, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-2-1 record this season. The victory was familiar territory for they, who have now won seven matchups in a row.

On Kimberly's side, they got a great performance from Gracie Alleman as she pitched six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits.

At the plate, Addison Cann was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. Jaci Cowger was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
