Soccer Recap: Palmetto Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Palmetto can now relate to. They came up short against the Palmetto Ridge Bears on Tuesday, falling 6-2. The Tigers have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Palmetto's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Palmetto Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4-1 record this season.

Palmetto does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Palmetto Ridge, they will take on Lakewood Ranch at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Lakewood Ranch comes in on six and Palmetto Ridge on five.
