Baseball Recap: Cambridge City Lincoln Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses at Home

After only two runs in their last matchup, Cambridge City Lincoln made sure to put some runs up on the board against Union on Thursday. The Golden Eagles blew past the Rockets 18-2. With that win, the Golden Eagles brought their scoring average up to 7 runs per game.

Dustin Lunsford and Braxton Dick were major factors while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Lunsford kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Dick pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those eight strikeouts gave Lunsford a new career-high. At the plate, Lunsford got on base in all five of his plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and one stolen base, while Dick got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one RBI. That home run was Lunsford's first of the season.
