Volleyball Recap: Oakland-Craig Knights vs. Concordia Mustangs

Oakland-Craig won the last time they faced Concordia, and things went their way on Thursday too. The Oakland-Craig Knights walked away with a 3-1 win over the Concordia Mustangs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

Oakland-Craig had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-22, 25-20, 25-21.

Oakland-Craig found their leader in underclassman Hilary Ray, who had 14 digs.

Concordia lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Natalie Perkinson, who had six digs and 20 assists. Oakland-Craig didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win vs. Boyd County on the 27th. As for Concordia, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Elmwood-Murdock at 7:00 p.m. on October 8th.
