Baseball Game Preview: Hillcrest Trojans vs. Valley View Eagles

Hillcrest is 0-3 against Valley View since March of 2023 but things could change on Friday. The Trojans will welcome the Eagles at 3:15 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Wednesday, Hillcrest earned a 9-4 win over Orange Vista. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

Meanwhile, Valley View owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Wednesday. They skirted past Rancho Christian 2-0.

Alexander Aguiar tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over 6.2 innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Jovaughny Pena was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.

Hillcrest's victory bumped their record up to 14-11. As for Valley View, their win bumped their record up to 21-2.
