Basketball Recap: Whitesboro's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Whitesboro's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They strolled past the Callisburg Wildcats with points to spare, taking the game 43-29. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 57-31 back in December of 2024.

Whitesboro's win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-15. As for Callisburg, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-10.

Ponder knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Whitesboro likes a good challenge. As for Callisburg, they will face off against Valley View at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Callisburg is facing Valley View at the right time seeing as Valley View is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
