Softball Recap: Weston Takes a Loss

Weston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 9-6 to the Kickapoo Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-4 back in April.

Weston's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Kickapoo, they pushed their record up to 9-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Weston will square off against North Crawford at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Trojans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.6 runs per game on average), something the Silver Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of. Kickapoo has already played their next match (against Westby), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
