Softball Game Preview: Loudon Redskins vs. Sequoyah Chiefs

Loudon is 1-7 against Sequoyah since March of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Redskins will take on the Chiefs at 5:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Loudon fell victim to Heritage and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 10-0 to the Mountaineers. The match marked the first time this season in which the Redskins were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Sequoyah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Sweetwater, falling 8-2.

Mysterie Shubert made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Sequoyah's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Loudon, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Loudon suffered a grim 12-0 defeat to Sequoyah when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Redskins avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
