Basketball Recap: Shadow Hills Takes a Loss

Shadow Hills lost against Palm Desert back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Shadow Hills Knights lost 68-42 to the Palm Desert Aztecs. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Palm Desert's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jake Brande, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 boards. Brande has been hot, having posted ten or more rebounds the last five times he's played. Jecorey Jones was another key player, going 8 of 10 on his way to 19 points.

Shadow Hills' loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Palm Desert, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-6.

Shadow Hills will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Rancho Mirage at 6:30 p.m. As for Palm Desert, they will head out to take on Palm Springs at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Palm Desert knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine games -- so hopefully Palm Springs likes a good challenge.
