Recap: Glenwood Springs Demons vs. Grand Junction Central Warriors
The Glenwood Springs Demons had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Grand Junction Central by a score of 58-50 on Saturday. The win was just what Glenwood Springs needed coming off of a 74-45 defeat in their prior game.
Glenwood Springs had a senior duo take command as Alec Claassen scored ten points and Sim Wenger scored nine points.
Glenwood Springs' victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Grand Junction Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.
Glenwood Springs will head out on the road to square off against Montrose at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Montrose presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Glenwood Springs in Colorado (Montrose is ranked 35th, while Glenwood Springs is ranked 126th). As for Grand Junction Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Battle Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Battle Mountain is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
