Baseball Recap: Lodi Extends Road Winning Streak to Six

Lodi waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Kimball Jaguars by a score of 7-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-1 on Monday.

Landon Beasley made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Santino Ramirez was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Rylan Takahashi was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Lodi's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-6. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Kimball, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 15 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-17 record this season.

Lodi will have a chance to go back-to-back against Kimball: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
