Football Recap: West Ashley Wildcats vs. Ashley Ridge Swamp Foxes
West Ashley lost against Ashley Ridge back in October of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The West Ashley Wildcats fell to the Ashley Ridge Swamp Foxes 47-41. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Swamp Foxes recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ashley Ridge to victory, but perhaps none more so than Trevor Kalisz, who threw for 359 yards and three touchdowns while completing 74.4% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Kalisz's passing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 359 passing yards. Jayden Acosta helped Kalisz out on the ground, rushing for 42 yards and two touchdowns, while also picking up 67 receiving yards and a touchdown.
West Ashley's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Ashley Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.
