Softball Game Preview: Clearwater Tornadoes vs. Indian Rocks Christian Eagles

The Clearwater Tornadoes will challenge the Indian Rocks Christian Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Clearwater is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 13 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Mitchell on Wednesday. They lost 10-1 to the Mustangs. The Tornadoes have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Clearwater saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kabella Corning, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Indian Rocks Christian came up short against Seffner Christian on Thursday, falling 11-4.

Indian Rocks Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Clearwater, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.

Everything went Clearwater's way against Indian Rocks Christian in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as Clearwater made off with a 13-1 victory. Do the Tornadoes have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
