Basketball Recap: Greensboro Comes Up Short

Greensboro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 50-18 defeat at the hands of the Hale County Wildcats. The Raiders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-2.

Hale County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lailah Hill led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 14 points and nine boards. Kynaja Marshall was another key player, going 5 of 10 on her way to 14 points and seven rebounds.

Greensboro's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Hale County, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.

Greensboro will take on Hatch in a holiday battle at 5:30 p.m. on December 17th at. As for Hale County, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 48-45 win against Central on the 10th.
