Recap: Red Rock Central Falcons vs. Murray County Central Rebels
After a string of four wins, the Red Rock Central Falcons's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell 60-51 to Murray County Central. Red Rock Central has struggled against Murray County Central recently, as their contest on Monday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Red Rock Central lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Isaac Simonson, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds. Simonson is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Corey Arkell, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds.
Red Rock Central's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Murray County Central, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Red Rock Central will take on Hills-Beaver Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hills-Beaver Creek is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. Murray County Central won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Lakeview at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Lakeview is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
