Basketball Game Preview: Downers Grove North Trojans vs. Rockford East E-Rabs

Having just played yesterday, the Downers Grove North Trojans will jump right back in to play the Rockford East E-Rabs at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Downers Grove North is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

On Friday, Downers Grove North didn't have too much trouble with Lyons as they won 44-25.

Meanwhile, Rockford East got the win against Boylan Catholic on Wednesday by a conclusive 71-51. The E-Rabs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 20 points or more this season.

Rockford East's win came from a few key players Downers Grove North will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Sterling Hoarde, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. MiKwan Marshall was another key player, going 7 for 13 en route to 17 points and five steals.

Rockford East has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for Downers Grove North, their victory bumped their record up to 14-4.
