Volleyball Recap: Thomas Maclaren School's Run of Three Straight Victories Now Over + How To Watch

If Thomas MacLaren School was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Elbert on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Highlanders took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Peyton Panthers on Thursday. The Highlanders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Peyton scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-19, 23-25, 25-17.

Thomas MacLaren School's offense was headlined by Sara Christensen and Hannah Templin, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Jane Ambuul and her 13 assists. Finally, Christensen was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high five blocks.
