Soccer Recap: Weld Central Finishes Even with Windsor Charter Academy

For the first time this season, Weld Central was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor the Windsor Charter Academy Firebirds could gain the upper hand on Thursday so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw. The outcome might've been different if Brylie Branch hadn't been hit with a yellow card, which no doubt limited her ability to make aggressive plays down the stretch.

Kayla Branch was the only thing that stood between Weld Central and a shutout considering she scored both of Weld Central's goals, bringing her season total up to six goals.

Weld Central's draw gives them a new season record of 3-9-1. Meanwhile, Windsor Charter Academy's record is now 4-3-2.

Coming up, Weld Central will welcome Fort Morgan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Windsor Charter Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 3-3 draw against Flatirons Academy on the 26th.
