Volleyball Recap: Chaminade Falls Short Against Ranked Oaks Christian

Chaminade faced Oaks Christian in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Eagles fell just short of the Lions by a score of 3-2. It was the first time this season that the Eagles let down their fans at home.

Chaminade started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 23-25, 25-15, 25-18, 15-13.

Chaminade's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Oaks Christian, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Looking ahead, Chaminade will be playing at home against Village Christian at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. After both having extra time off, Oaks Christian and Newbury Park will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The contest will give the Lions their first taste of in-conference action this season.
