Recap: Mira Mesa Marauders vs. Morse Tigers
The Mira Mesa Marauders fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They enjoyed a cozy 48-29 victory over Morse on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Mira Mesa also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2021.
Tyson Line was his usual excellent self, throwing for 193 yards and three touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyson Ha, who gained 73 total yards and a touchdown.
Despite the defeat, Morse saw an underclassman step up: Jonah Holloway rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. Superior Garror was another key contributor, rushing for 75 yards and a touchdown.
Mira Mesa's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Morse, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.
Mira Mesa will head out on the road to face off against St. Augustine at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Augustine will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Morse does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
