You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Granada's strategy against Branson/Kim on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Bobcats blew the Bearcats out of the water with a 47-7 final score. With the Bobcats ahead 21-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Granada's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Angelo Martinez, who threw for 158 yards and five TDs while completing 77.8% of his passes. Martinez also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making five total tackles and defending one pass. Another back making a difference was Fernando Cadena, who gained 141 total yards and two touchdowns.

Granada was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 201 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Branson/Kim only rushed for 69 rushing yards.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Granada's defense and their three sacks. Sebastian Pizarro was especially locked on to Branson/Kim's QB and sacked him twice.

Will Doherty and Cooper Winter certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Doherty picked up 88 receiving yards and one touchdown, while Winter threw for 111 yards and one TD. Doherty showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 65 yards.

Granada has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 53.5 points this season. As for Branson/Kim, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Granada and Branson/Kim will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Bobcats will challenge rival Cheraw at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Branson/Kim is set to square off against their familiar foe Cotopaxi at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
