Baseball Recap: Wooster Takes a Loss

Wooster fell victim to North Valleys and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Panthers, falling 15-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 14-8 loss on April 5th.

This is the second loss in a row for Wooster and nudges their season record down to 11-10-1. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 15-8 Truckee (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 71.7% over those games). As for North Valleys, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 18-5.

Looking ahead, Wooster will head out to face off against South Tahoe at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Colts will need to watch out since the Vikings have now posted at least ten runs in their last four contests. As for North Valleys, they will be playing at home against Truckee at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Panthers are on an eight-game streak of home wins, the Wolverines a seven-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
