Football Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Collierville

Collierville extended their postseason success on Friday against Antioch. They came out on top against the Bears by a score of 39-28. Winning may never get old, but the Dragons sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Autry, Lawrence had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 159 yards and three TDs, while also picking up 41 receiving yards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 103.3 rushing yards per game.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Collierville was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 254 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 185 rushing yards in three consecutive contests.

Collierville's defense stepped up as well, laying out Andre Adams nine times. Braylon Warren led the group effort, picking up four of those sacks all by himself. He is on a roll when it comes to sacks, as he's now posted at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

When it comes to explaining why Antioch lost, don't look at Adams. Despite the final result, he threw for 347 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. 101 of Adams' passing yards were hauled in by Coby Belton.

Collierville's record now sits at 9-3. As for Antioch, their loss dropped their record down to 10-2.

Looking ahead, Collierville will look to defend their home field on Friday against Southwind at 7:00 p.m. The Dragons will need to watch out since the Jaguars have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. Antioch does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
