Dos Palos is 6-1 against Hilmar since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. Dos Palos will face off against Hilmar at 4:00 p.m. Dos Palos hasn't scored more than two runs for five games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

On Wednesday, Dos Palos came up short against Liberty and fell 5-2.

Dos Palos saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tevin Clay, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Clay also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

Hilmar hadn't beaten Escalon on the road since April 13, 2022 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. Hilmar came out on top against Escalon by a score of 7-3.

Marlin Kindberg tossed a big game, tossing 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, Kayleb Amaya was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. John Labno was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Hilmar pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Dos Palos, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

Dos Palos skirted past Hilmar 5-4 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dos Palos since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
