The Winters Warriors will face off against the Williams Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Winters has seven straight wins, Williams has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Winters hadn't beaten Pierce on the road since October 19, 2018 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Warriors blew past the Bears 31-10. Considering the Warriors have won seven matchups by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Lane Brown had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 203 yards and two TDs while picking up 8.1 yards per carry, and also throwing for 66 yards and one touchdown. Those 203 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was EJ Cruz, who gained 78 total yards and two touchdowns.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Winters was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 313 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 166 rushing yards in five consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 49-21, which was the final score in Williams' tilt against Maxwell on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Yellowjackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 809th, while the Panthers are ranked 398th).
Winters will have to contain Ricardo Medina as he made an impact in Williams' last game. He rushed for 77 yards and one score, and also picked up 36 receiving yards.
Winters' record now sits at 9-1. As for Williams, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's game: Winters has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 381.2 total yards per game. It's a different story for Williams, though, as they've been averaging only 236.9 total yards. Will Winters be able to march up the field at their leisure again, or will the Yellowjackets flip the script?
