Volleyball Recap: Addie Murphy and Mallory Luigs Secure Win for North Posey

North Posey won the last time they faced Mt. Vernon and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Vikings put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-7, 25-12.

Leading North Posey to victory were Mallory Luigs and Addie Murphy. Luigs had 19 digs, while Murphy had seven digs. Luigs is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last 27 games she's played dating back to last season.

When it comes to explaining why Mt. Vernon lost, don't look at Hannah McNeece. Despite the final result, she had 25 digs and one assist.

North Posey's record is now 8-1. As for Mt. Vernon, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

North Posey didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Evansville North on the 10th. As for Mt. Vernon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against South Spencer on the 13th.
