Baseball Recap: Central Florida Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Central Florida Christian Academy lost against Lake Mary Prep back in April of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Central Florida Christian Academy Eagles lost 14-4 to the Lake Mary Prep Griffins. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Casey Nipper put in work while hitting and pitching. He struck out 11 batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off only one hit. Nipper was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. Nipper is also crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's stolen at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

Nipper wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Elijah Brenyo, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Central Florida Christian Academy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Lake Mary Prep, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Coming up, Central Florida Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against Gulf Coast HEAT at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lake Mary Prep, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Circle Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Circle Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10 runs per game this season.
