Soccer Game Preview: Cy-Fair vs. Stratford

The Cy-Fair Bobcats will face off against the Stratford Spartans at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Cy-Fair is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to five goals on Friday, they were much more limited against Memorial on Wednesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs.

Meanwhile, Stratford had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They never let the Falcons onto the board and left with an 8-0 victory. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by seven goals or more this season.

Stratford has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those five games. As for Cy-Fair, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-5.

Cy-Fair suffered a grim 6-1 defeat to Stratford in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Cy-Fair was down 3-0.
