New Prairie has gone a perfect 8-0 against South Bend Washington recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Cougars will venture away from home to face off against the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. New Prairie is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.

New Prairie can't be too worried about heading out to take on South Bend Washington: they just beat Niles at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. The Cougars had just enough and edged out the Vikings 7-6 on Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Cougars as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Reed Robinson was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Another player making a difference was Zak Henrich, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base.

South Bend Washington let Elkhart Christian Academy stack five runs on them in the fourth inning on Monday but luckily South Bend Washington prevailed anyway. The Panthers skirted past the Eagles 6-5. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.

South Bend Washington's win bumped their record up to 5-12. As for New Prairie, their victory bumped their record up to 13-9.

South Bend Washington's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. New Prairie has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.6 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for South Bend Washington, though, as they've been averaging only 4.1 strikeouts. Will New Prairie keep running through batters, or will the Panthers buck the trend?
