Basketball Recap: Spotsylvania Takes a Loss

Spotsylvania was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 24th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a hard 64-49 fall against the Culpeper County Blue Devils. If the Knights were looking for revenge after losing 59-35 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Spotsylvania's record is now 0-12. As for Culpeper County, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 5-7.

Spotsylvania will square off against Chancellor at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Culpeper County, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against James Monroe at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. James Monroe knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight matchups -- so hopefully Culpeper County likes a good challenge.
