Basketball Game Preview: Dierks Outlaws vs. Mountain Pine Red Devils

The Dierks Outlaws will challenge the Mountain Pine Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dierks knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Mountain Pine likes a good challenge.

Dierks is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Murfreesboro 79-13. The Outlaws have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 contests by 24 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Mountain Pine came up short against Cutter-Morning Star on Tuesday, falling 67-42. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Red Devils have suffered against the Eagles since January 17, 2017.

Dierks is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.2 points over those games. As for Mountain Pine, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-7.

Dierks came out on top in a nail-biter against Mountain Pine in their previous meeting back in February of 2025, sneaking past 63-61. Will the Outlaws repeat their success, or do the Red Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
