Softball Game Preview: Aquinas Knights vs. Alliance Aviators

The Aquinas Knights will head out on the road to square off against the Alliance Aviators at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Aquinas comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Aquinas lost 9-3 to Central Christian on Tuesday.

AyraBella Bacorn made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ta'Leyah Williams, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Alliance sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 victory over Canton Central Catholic on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Aviators.

Lily White made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. White was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs and six RBI while going 2-for-3.

Alliance lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Alliance now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Aquinas, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.
