Basketball Game Preview: Houghton Academy Panthers vs. Keshequa Indians

The Houghton Academy Panthers are taking a road trip to challenge the Keshequa Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Houghton Academy is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Houghton Academy was beaten by Cuba-Rushford 71-34. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 785th, while the Rebels are ranked 303rd).

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 69-31, which was the final score in Keshequa's tilt against Pavilion on Friday.

Houghton Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Keshequa, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

Houghton Academy lost to Keshequa on the road by a decisive 45-31 margin when the teams last played on January 8th. Can Houghton Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
