The Mascoutah Indians made easy work of the Father McGivney Catholic Griffins on Thursday and carried off a 16-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won seven matches by nine runs or more so far this season.

Bailey Seibert was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three runs and two RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Callie Kunz, who went 1-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Mascoutah was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .405. They are 6-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Mascoutah's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Father McGivney Catholic, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.
