Baseball Recap: Mundelein Extends Winning Streak to Five

Mundelein never let their opponents score on Thursday. They blew past the Coffee County Central Red Raiders 10-0. That ten run margin sets a new team best for the Mustangs this season.

Sean Sanderson looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Mundelein got a massive performance out of Jake Junia, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs Junia has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Tony Morano, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one home run and three RBI.

Mundelein hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Coffee County Central struck out nine times.
