Softball Recap: Freedom Irish vs. Clintonville Truckers
There's no place like home for Freedom, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They never let the Clintonville Truckers get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Tuesday. The Irish might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.
Kailey Stordeur was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. Stordeur was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI. Those two hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Carrington Klug and Jovie Smith did most of the damage at the plate: Klug went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Smith went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most RBI Klug has posted since back in April. Breanna Dallmann also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.
Freedom always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Clintonville only posted an OBP of .250.

Freedom's win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games.
