Grandview Prep extends home winning streak to 13

Recap: Grandview Prep Pride vs. Morningside Academy Eagles

The Grandview Prep Pride entered their tilt with the Morningside Academy Eagles with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Grandview Prep came out on top against Morningside Academy by a score of 48-39 on Tuesday. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Grandview Prep has scored all season.

Grandview Prep had a senior duo take command as Markenson Jordonne scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and eight steals and Marco Jordonne scored 20 points along with six rebounds. Jordonne has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jaiden Colquuhoun, who scored four points along with two steals.

Despite the loss, Morningside Academy still got an impressive performance from Marvin Tidas, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Tidas pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Clark, who scored six points along with eight rebounds.

Morningside Academy struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Grandview Prep racked up 13 assists.

Grandview Prep's victory was their 13th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3. As for Morningside Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grandview Prep will take on Boca Raton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Morningside Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Dreyfoos School of the Arts at 7:30 p.m.
