Baseball Recap: Notre Dame Find Success

Notre Dame came out on top against Woodland Regional on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run third inning. The Green Knights took their matchup against the Hawks 6-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Green Knights.

Notre Dame got a great performance from Josh Roberts as he didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brandon Skerritt, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Marczak, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Notre Dame now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Woodland Regional, with the loss, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-11.

Looking ahead, Notre Dame is taking a road trip to take on Wilbur Cross at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Green Knights are facing the Governors at the right time seeing as the Governors are stuck on an 18-game losing streak. Woodland Regional does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
