Baseball Recap: Comeaux Takes a Loss

Comeaux was the 18-3 winner over Gueydan when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Comeaux Spartans took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gueydan Bears on Monday.

Kane Miller was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and three RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Nicholas Kurowski also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Comeaux's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Gueydan, their record is now 4-6.

Coming up, Comeaux will square off against Opelousas at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Gueydan, they will venture away from home to square off against Ascension Episcopal at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ascension Episcopal will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Gueydan surely won't give up without a fight.
