Volleyball Game Preview: Cyprus Pirates vs. West Field Longhorns

The Cyprus Pirates will venture away from home to take on the West Field Longhorns at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

On Tuesday, Cyprus made easy work of Granger and carried off a 3-0 win. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Lancers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Cyprus took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-12, 25-13.

Meanwhile, West Field got the win against Box Elder on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0.

West Field never let Box Elder on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-19, 25-21.

West Field found their leader in freshman Jorie Schiffman, who had seven digs and one assist.

Cyprus' win bumped their record up to 11-17. As for West Field, their victory bumped their record up to 17-11.
