Baseball Recap: Alta Picks Up 13th Straight Win at Home

Alta entered their tilt with Highland on Wednesday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Rams. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 11-0 victory on Wednesday.

John Warren tossed a big game, striking out ten batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Crew Scheel, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jose Periera, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.

Alta's win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1. As for Highland, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
