Volleyball Recap: Charleston Collegiate Falls Despite Big Games from Lyden Scapaletto and Vika Vuyiv

After flying high against Crown Leadership Academy on Friday, Charleston Collegiate came back down to earth. The Sundevils fell 3-1 to the Northwood Academy Chargers on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-15, 22-25, 25-22.

Charleston Collegiate's loss came despite strong showings from Vika Vuyiv and Lyden Scapaletto. Vuyiv had 21 assists and two aces, while Scapaletto had 18 digs and three assists. With that strong performance, Vuyiv is now averaging an impressive 12.2 assists per game.
